Thus the Plasmon jukebox would appear as a string of 40 disk drives. Hen a read or write operation begins, the OptiServer II device driver will move the appropriate disk into a drive automatically. Thus the jukebox is transparent to all activity above the device level of the system. The Plasmon jukebox may contain up to six 1.5 GB phase change optical drives, and 22 to 300 optical disks. Each disk may have a capacity of 1.5 GB, providing a total capacity of 33 GB to 450 GB of total storage in the jukebox.
